TESDA PO AND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF OCC. MINDORO TIED UP FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF TWSP
The Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) is one of the flagship programs of TESDA that aims to fill-up the skills gap and job requirements of priority industries and sectors with high employment demand and at the same time providing the grassroots level access to quality technical education and trainng. Moreover, it hopes to encourage and sustain TVET providers to offer higher level of qualifications catering to in-demand industry requirements in consonance with the government’s thrusts of rapid inclusive and sustained growth.
TESDA’s partnership with the Provincial Government of Occidental Mindoro has shown a strong and sustained momentum for CY 2016.
The Provincial Government supported the TWSP Program by way of assisting the TVET Providers in the selection, recruitment of participants, identifying venues and job referrals. Thru the PESO.
Likewise, it has played a great part in the monitoring of the program starting from the Orientation and coordination up to the smooth conduct of competency assessment and certification activities to ensure 100% completion of the program by the scholars.
