BOTTOM-UP BUDGETING (BUB) ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT Occidental Mindoro For the Month of July 2016
BUB –San Jose:
The TESDA-PO Occidental Mindoro in close coordination with LGU-San Jose jointly implemented the Bottom-up Budgeting (BUB) Project which yielded some 231 graduates in various qualifications as follows: Hilot (Wellness Massage) NC II (50 slots); Bread Making Leading to Bread & Pastry Production NC II (26 slots); Pastry Making Leading to BPP NC II (25 slots), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I),- 30 slots, Maintain and Repair Electronically-Controlled Domestic Appliances Leading to Consumer Electronics Servicing NC II; Maintain and Repair Audio-Video Leading to CES NC II. Likewise, the program has a funding requirement of Php1,549.,600 while LGU’s equity reached Php287,500.00
Some 25 BUB beneficiaries were trained along Bread Making Leading to Bread and Pastry Production NC II by the Caregiver International Networker, Inc., in San Jose, Occ. Mindoro.

Pastry Making is also one of the most requested courses under the BUB. Some 25 learners completed the course conducted by the CINI .
Despite her age, Ms. Candida R. Balagot, 68 y/o and a widow pursued her dream of learning the craft by availing the free skills training on Pastry Making under the BUB Project of TESDA and LGU-San Jose. Age doesn't matter and she’s thankful to TESDA for accommodating her to be one of the trainees..

Some twenty-five (25) BUB scholars were also trained along Audio-video leading to CES NC II which facilitated by Mindoro School of Technology, Inc.

OIC-PD Ma. Belen F. Pantaleon extends her appreciation to partner LGUs, PESO-San Jose and TVET providers as well and wish all graduates to become economically productive by nurturing the learnings and skills gained during the training program.

In its desire to ensure smooth implementation of the 2016 BUB Program, the TESDA Provincial Office called for a One Day Workshop/Learning Session on January 13, 2016 relative to the preparatory, pre-training, training proper and post-training activities to be undertaken by TESDA partners and proponents of the BUB 2016 projects. OIC-PD Ma. Belen F. Pantaleon stressed on the necessity of having complete and timely submission of documents ranging from MOA, project proposal, project brief templates, Qualification Map which would be crafted by the BUB Focal in close coordination with their respective Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT).
BUB Focals/LPRAT representatives from the municipalities of Sablayan, San Jose, Paluan attended the One-Day Orientation/Learning Session conducted by PO Occidental Mindoro.
